CASIS stands for Columbus Astronomical Society Imaging SIG and we aim to help those that are starting in the astrophotography hobby.
CASIS is a group of individuals, plus one suspected hive mind, located here in Central Ohio who is interested in image processing with images taken with CCD, CMOS, Digital, and Video Cameras.
Our activities include both imaging hardware and techniques and investigating and learning various image processing methods.
Prior to the pandemic, we tried to meet every two weeks on a Saturday morning to learn and participate in image processing and the use of various types of hardware, software techniques, and skills.
Now we meet at 1 PM on the third Saturday of the month at Perkins Observatory with an occasional hiatus during Summer, between May and July.
Invitations to the CASIS meetings are typically sent to the membership-at-large a few days before the meeting.
Cheers,
Isaac
